MMA Press Release

Three MMA Warriors Wear Magic Mouth Guard In Historic CBS Event: Renowned California dentist giving ‘The Edge’ to athletes of all levels

Unbeknownst to many enthusiastic MMA fans who tuned in to the historic EliteXC card, broadcast by CBS on May 31, three of the participating fighters were making history of another kind. They were wearing ‘The Edge,’ a revolutionary new mouth guard that is turning heads in the sporting world.

The Edge, also worn by Boston Red Sox star slugger, Manny Ramirez, and St. Louis Rams kicker, Josh Brown, is a technological wonder that is changing the way athletes look at performance. “The Edge is the future in helping athletes improve strength, flexibility, and balance, in a completely natural way,” says Dr. David May, a neuromuscular dentist in California.

Dr. May, who works out of offices in Hemet and Redondo Beach, says that understanding human physiology is the key to how The Edge works. “Jaw position is everything. If the jaw and neck muscles aren’t relaxed, the rest of the body is adversely effected. 90% of the population has an overbite, which means that most of the time, people have tension problems. They are working against muscle tension without even being aware of it.”

“What The Edge does, is hold the jaw in its optimal position, relaxing those crucial muscles and therefore allowing the body to perform at it’s peak.”

On May 31, three professional fighters, Brett Rogers, James Thompson, and Phil Baroni, wore The Edge into combat in the first MMA fight card ever broadcast by CBS during prime-time.

In the first fight of the night, Rogers, a rising star in MMA, remained undefeated with a dominating, first-round knockout of Jon Murphy. After his victory, he let the world know that the man he really wants to face is card headliner, Kimbo Slice.

Slice, however, had his hands full in the main event. Though he was expected to shine, James Thomson, wearing The Edge, stepped up to the plate and gave Slice all he could handle. The fight was stopped controversially in the third round because of a laceration on Thomson’s ear. Many ringsiders felt that Slice was struggling and in trouble against the determined Thomson.

“The athletes I’m fitting with The Edge are reporting an incredible difference in how they perform,” says Dr. May.
