Chair-side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics or CEREC, is taking the dental industry by storm. No longer are a series of appointments required to complete one porcelain restoration. Through the utilization of CEREC, patients only require one consultation! The need for impressions and laboratory work is not necessary; a process which would normally take several weeks and numerous appointments!

During the appointment, your tooth will first be prepared for treatment. An electronic 3D scan is taken of the affected area and viewed on screen, by both Dr David May and the patient. A ceramic restoration is here created in accordance with your tooth scan. The restoration is then polished to have the appearance of a natural tooth and fitted into place.

Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and advanced computer technology CEREC offers several major benefits to patients. The affected tooth will have greater strength, increased stability, protection from further tooth deterioration and is the most cost effective restoration available. CEREC restorations are made from ceramic materials and therefore are natural in appearance. Restorations that may be completed within one appointment, include; Porcelain Veneers, Porcelain Crowns and Porcelain Inlays.
